Michigan Month-to-Month Lease Agreement
A month to month lease in Michigan allows for a property owner and tenant to come to a rental arrangement that has no set end date but may be terminated or altered by either party with at least one (1) month’s notice (554.134). Although, even though this type of agreement may end at anytime with notice, the eviction process remains the same as if it were a standard one-year agreement. Therefore the rental application is highly recommended to be handed out and completed by every potential tenant. If approved, the lessor and lessee should sign a finalized agreement.
