Massachusetts One (1) Year Residential Lease Agreement
The Massachusetts standard one (1) year agreement is written for most leasing arrangements for residential property between a landlord and tenant. Before a lease goes into effect, the landlord or their agent should screen the potential lessee with the rental application. Upon approval, a Security Deposit is usually charged, a maximum of one (1) month’s rent (186-15B), and the agreement is signed making it legally binding to each party.
