Maryland Month-to-Month Lease Agreement
The Maryland month to month rental agreement, or tenancy at will, is for a landlord-tenant relationship that has no stated end date, but continues as long as the lessee pays rent. Under Maryland law, Statute 8-402, that either party may cancel the agreement with at least one (1) month of notice to the other party (Unless it is in Montgomery County or within the City of Baltimore).
Even though the tenant is renting for what seems like a short-term, the eviction laws in Maryland remain the same for all types of residences. Therefore the landlord should review all tenants with the rental application.
