The Wisconsin notice to quit forms are used to notify a tenant that they have failed to pay rent on time and must either pay the amount owed or vacate the premises. In Wisconsin, the length of the tenancy will determine how much time the tenant is given to pay the rent they owe before the lease is terminated automatically. For leases over a year, the tenant has thirty (30) days from the date the notice is given to remedy the situation or leave the property.

For tenancies of one (1) year or less, five (5) days are provided to comply with the notice to quit. In cases where a tenant has previously defaulted on their rent payment (and complied with the notice to quit) and then commits the same act, they will not be given the chance to make the late rent payment but will be asked to vacate the premises within fourteen (14) days from the date the notice was delivered.

When is Rent due? – No laws pertaining to rent due date.
