Missouri Month-to-Month Lease Agreement
The month to month lease for Missouri, or “tenancy at will”, is an agreement for tenant(s) seeking an arrangement that renews every month with payment to the landlord. According to 441.060, either party may change or terminate the contract with at least thirty (30) days’ notice to either party (Use Notice to Terminate).
The landlord must still follow the residential landlord and tenant laws (See Landlord and Tenant Laws Provided by the Attorney General) and therefore should take precaution before signing this type of contract as the lessee will remain having to be evicted if they break the agreement. To verify any month to month lessee, the rental application should be used.
